Accounting Manager (Cape Town)

About the role

Fuel Station is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its accounting function at the Cape Town office. This full‑time, on‑site position oversees daily accounting operations, ensures accurate financial reporting, and supports strategic decision‑making through analysis and forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities and supervise the preparation of financial statements.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, track acquisitions, disposals and depreciation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to guide business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies and audit requirements.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
• Proven experience in general accounting, financial reporting and fixed‑asset management.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience supervising staff.
