Accountant

About the role

A reputable Legal Services client is looking for an Accountant in Centurion, recruited through Talent Candey. The role supports the Finance Department by maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic decisions and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, covering everything from routine bookkeeping to complex financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Financial accounting and reporting support
• Trust interest, investments and refunds
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Tax and statutory compliance
• Audit support
• Systems and process support
• Payments and procurement support
• Administrative and team support

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (NQF Level 7)
• Professional accounting qualification or progress towards one (SAIPA, AAT, SAICA, CIMA, ACCA or similar) is advantageous
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a regulated or medium-to-large organisation
• Knowledge of the Legal Practice Act and its regulatory environment is beneficial

Required skills

• Experience with accounting systems such as SAGE Intacct or similar ERP systems is an advantage
