5‑Star Hotel Receptionist – Camps Bay, Cape Town

About the role

We are seeking a polished, customer‑focused Receptionist to join a prestigious 5‑star hotel located in the heart of Camps Bay, Cape Town. As the first point of contact, you will shape the guest experience from arrival through departure, delivering the high standards expected of a luxury property.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and manage efficient check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism.
• Manage reservations, room allocations, and maintain accurate guest profiles.
• Operate the property management system (Opera or similar) and keep records up to date.
• Process payments, billing, and daily cash handling.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front‑desk environment.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management (preferred).
• 1–3 years experience in a receptionist or front‑desk role, preferably in a luxury or boutique hotel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Opera PMS or a comparable property management system.
