Young Professional-in-Training Graduate Programme

About the role

Transnet Freight Rail is offering a 24‑month Young Professional‑in‑Training programme for recent South African graduates. The role provides structured training, mentorship and hands‑on experience within the company’s operations in Beaufort West.

Key responsibilities

• Complete structured workplace training modules.
• Support departmental activities and assist with administrative tasks and research.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders, applying academic knowledge in a practical environment.
• Participate in programme assessments every six months.

Required profile

• South African citizenship, aged 18–35.
• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Psychology, Social Work or a related field.
• No prior work experience in the relevant field.
• Good computer and administrative skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Preference given to Persons with Disabilities and applicants residing in Beaufort West.

Required skills

• Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
