HR Generalist – Hybrid (Durban)

About the role

Digicall Group’s client in the manufacturing sector seeks an experienced HR Generalist to provide accurate and compliant HR support across the employee lifecycle for multiple countries. You will work closely with employees, managers and HR stakeholders, reporting to the People Operations Manager in Portugal.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end employee lifecycle activities, including hiring, onboarding, changes and off‑boarding across several jurisdictions.
• Support Workday administration, respond to employee and manager queries, and guide users on self‑service functionality.
• Consolidate, validate and report payroll information, and assist with benefits and immigration documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee records in Workday and ensure compliance with local legislation and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HR Operations, Administration or Shared Services within a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of HR processes, employment legislation and employee lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting employees across multiple countries, preferably Europe, Middle East, Africa or Turkey.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS/HCM systems, preferably Workday.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with case‑management or ticketing systems.
• Ability to produce payroll consolidation reports and HR analytics.
