Veeam Backup Administrator

About the role

Axial Consulting is seeking a full‑time Veeam Backup Administrator to join its Cape Town team. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining Veeam Backup & Recovery systems, ensuring reliable backup and disaster‑recovery operations for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, configure and troubleshoot Veeam backup solutions.
• Monitor backup systems for performance, reliability and capacity.
• Provide technical support to clients and resolve backup‑related incidents.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with disaster‑recovery policies.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver secure cloud‑based services.

Required profile

• Proficiency with Veeam Backup Solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience delivering technical support.
• Knowledge of Data Domain or similar storage platforms is an advantage.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant Veeam certifications are beneficial.
