Training Officer – Milling & Food Manufacturing

About the role

Our client, a leading player in the milling and food manufacturing sector, is looking for an organised and detail‑oriented Training Officer to strengthen their production workforce. You will be responsible for designing, delivering and monitoring training programmes that ensure safety, quality and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide SOP training to build a skilled, safety‑conscious, high‑performing workforce.
• Conduct training needs assessments within the production department.
• Mentor and coach new hires to accelerate their integration.
• Deliver hands‑on, practical training sessions on milling operations.
• Train staff on food safety, quality standards and workplace safety.
• Ensure SOP compliance across production activities.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF 4.
• SAGMA or GMF accredited qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in milling operations.
• Valid RSA driver’s licence with own transport.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages (Xhosa, Zulu, Sesotho) highly desirable.
