Technician – Heavy Vehicle Repair & Maintenance

About the role
The Technician is responsible for delivering high‑quality repairs and maintenance on heavy‑duty vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction, on‑time delivery and safety. The role combines technical expertise with a commercial mindset to support Scania’s profitability and road safety.
Key responsibilities
- Secure required information, tools and spare parts before each maintenance or repair event.
- Perform maintenance and repairs using established methods, standards and safety procedures, completing work on schedule.
- Document work clearly and facilitate invoicing to minimise lead time after the event.
- Communicate any follow‑up actions when handing over work to colleagues.
Required profile
- Matric certificate (or N3) or equivalent qualification.
- Qualified Diesel Technician with a Trade Test Certificate.
- Minimum three years of workshop experience repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles.
- Current employment in the present role for at least one year.
Required skills
- Diesel engine repair.
- Heavy‑vehicle maintenance.
- Use of diagnostic and repair tools.
- Basic IT skills for maintenance documentation.
