Team Leader: Operational Analytics

About the role

The Team Leader – Operational Analytics will head the Business Analysts team within Capitec Bank’s Operational System Support department. You will prioritize and oversee client‑facing analytical work, deliver actionable insights, and ensure projects meet contractual timelines and departmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts, coordinating their daily priorities and workload.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise and data‑driven insights to influence business decisions.
• Ensure delivery of analytical solutions within agreed timelines and in line with operational standards.
• Oversee data extraction, transformation and loading processes to support reporting needs.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and visualisations using Power BI and other tools.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a comparable data‑analytics role.
• Minimum of 3 years leading a team in a fast‑moving environment.
• Proven ability to identify business challenges and deliver data‑based solutions.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration; Bachelor’s degree or professional certification in Business/Data Analysis is preferred.
• Knowledge of Amazon Connect, operational process mapping, and agile project management (Jira).
