Storeman – 5-Star Luxury Hotel in Camps Bay

About the role

The hotel is looking for a reliable Storeman to manage stock and supplies in a high‑end hospitality environment. You will ensure that all inventory is received, stored, and distributed efficiently, supporting the smooth operation of the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect deliveries, record quantities, and verify accuracy.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using the hotel’s stock management system.
• Implement FIFO stock rotation and adhere to storage best practices.
• Organise and store items safely, ensuring easy retrieval for all departments.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance teams to fulfil supply requests.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storeroom.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Storeman or similar role in a luxury hotel or hospitality setting.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
• Physically fit to handle deliveries and move stock.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with stock management systems.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Knowledge of inventory management principles, including FIFO.
