Stock Controller

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Stock Controller to join our Kroonstad team. In this role you will keep our storerooms organised, ensure that Field Operations and Fibre teams receive the right materials on time, and act as a key link in our supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Receive stock from suppliers via courier, direct delivery, and self‑collection.
• Check incoming stock, label, barcode and record it in the stock system.
• Sort and pack storerooms to maintain order and accessibility.
• Issue stock to Field Operations and Fibre Technicians and support transfers to mobile warehouses.
• Manage returns to suppliers for faulty or incorrect items.
• Report on write‑offs, faulty, end‑of‑life and dead stock.
• Maintain the stock system, create new items and process journals.
• Conduct regular stock takes and produce count and movement reports.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Two to three years of experience in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, bend and reach throughout the workday.
• Team‑player with good customer service orientation.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience preparing reports.
