Speech Language Pathologist

About the role

THERAPYWORX is seeking a full‑time Speech Language Pathologist to join its on‑site team in Highlands. You will work in a supportive, client‑centered environment, providing evidence‑based assessment and treatment for speech, language and swallowing disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat clients with speech, language and communication disorders using standardized tools and clinical observations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and deliver one‑on‑one and small‑group therapy sessions.
• Conduct dysphagia assessments, design safe feeding strategies and provide swallowing rehabilitation.
• Document progress, monitor outcomes and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Educate clients, families and caregivers on therapy goals, home programs and strategies for everyday communication and swallowing.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Speech‑Language Pathology (or equivalent) with current professional registration or licensure as required locally.
• Strong foundation in speech therapy techniques and experience treating communication and language disorders across diverse age groups.
• Clinical competence in dysphagia assessment and management, including safe feeding strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective multidisciplinary collaboration and client education.
• Ability to manage caseloads efficiently, adhere to ethical and regulatory standards, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Prior experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting; familiarity with culturally responsive practice is advantageous.
