Senior System Engineer – MSP/Infrastructure (Remote)

About the role

The Centralized Services Engineer I (Senior Systems Engineer – MSP Automation) is responsible for the seamless operation, optimisation and advancement of internal and client‑facing IT environments. You will act as a critical escalation point for the helpdesk, drive automation through scripting, and manage backup infrastructure using Veeam. The role is fully remote and reports to the ITS team.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for complex helpdesk and backup remediation issues.
• Oversee internal and client onboarding/offboarding, ensuring proper configuration and decommissioning.
• Design, implement and maintain Windows and Azure datacenter and cloud infrastructure.
• Deploy, verify and optimise Veeam backup solutions for internal and client environments.
• Maintain and enhance ConnectWise Automate (RMM) and ConnectWise Manage (PSA) platforms.
• Develop PowerShell scripts and automation workflows for RMM, MDM (Addigy, Intune) and patch management.
• Conduct proof‑of‑concept evaluations and integrate new MSP tools.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, tools and backup processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in a similar MSP role with strong Windows Server and Azure expertise.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications; networking certifications are a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work full‑time (40 h/week) PST schedule and pass online assessments.
