About the role
The Senior Design Draughtsperson will report to the Design Office Manager in the Industrial Watertube Boiler Business Unit. The role focuses on preparing plant layouts, detailed drawings and checking drawings for manufacturing.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out basic calculations, coordinate site visits, measure and create site sketches, and prepare layout and detailed drawings using existing project data.
- Check and draught detailed drawings using Inventor 3D modelling and AutoCAD, and liaise with Engineering, Project, Workshops and other departments.
Required profile
- BTech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with an above‑average academic record.
- Minimum 7 years of mechanical draughting experience, proficient in English communication.
- Self‑motivated, goal‑driven and able to work collaboratively across departments.
Required skills
- 3D modelling using Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or Pro‑Engineer.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with Autodesk Vault and Plant 3D (advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
