Regional Operations Manager

About the role

CHEP, a global share-and-reuse logistics company, is looking for a Regional Operations Manager to lead and manage regional operations across multiple plants and service centres. The role drives safe, efficient, cost-effective and customer-focused performance, develops high-performing teams and ensures business, financial and strategic objectives are achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality standards and operational procedures, and lead cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
• Analyze and track regional cost trends, keeping financial performance aligned with budget targets.
• Contribute to the regional supply chain strategy and operational excellence initiatives, including productivity improvements through engineering and maintenance best practice.
• Lead and mentor plant management teams, develop talent pipelines and succession plans, and lead employee and industrial relations activities.
• Manage the regional operating budget, control costs, evaluate capital investment projects and optimise the use of hire equipment, raw materials and assets.
• Maintain a zero harm culture, comply with labour legislation and regulatory requirements, and manage supplier relationships and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure customer requirements are met through reliable operations, service, quality and responsiveness.

Required profile

• BSc/B Tech in Engineering, Production, Operations Management or Supply Chain.
• At least 5 years at senior management level leading teams.
• Experience in a large-scale manufacturing or operational environment.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
