QHSE Coordinator (Bosch) – Fixed Term

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator now part of the MSC Group, is hiring a QHSE Coordinator for its Bosch operation in Johannesburg. The post supports the coordination, implementation and continuous support of the company's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) management systems, helping to meet legislation, industry standards and company policies while promoting a culture of safety and quality. It is a full-time, fixed-term position.

Key responsibilities

• Health and safety: support monitoring of safety standards and safe work practices (cargo handling, loading/unloading, equipment use), assist with risk assessments, safety audits and workplace inspections, help collect data for incident investigations and root cause analysis, monitor implementation of safety procedures and promote safety awareness through toolbox talks, campaigns and training.
• Environmental management: help ensure compliance with environmental regulations (waste management, spill control, emissions), support environmental risk assessments and environmental management plans, monitor stormwater, air emissions and noise, and take part in emergency evacuation drills.
• Compliance and reporting: keep QHSE documentation aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, support internal and external audits, track corrective and preventive actions and report concerns and hazards to the QHSE Manager.
• Quality management: manage Maturity Standards per Bosch requirements, implement and monitor the 6S process, coordinate QMS documentation, track non-conformities and improvement actions, support quality audits, handle customer complaints and encourage quality awareness.
• Training and communication: schedule and coordinate safety, environmental and quality training, and support the rollout of Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) programmes.

Required profile

• NQF level 5 safety-related course or SAMTRAC (preferred).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a QHSE role within logistics operations.
• Experience in food safety warehouse handling (preferred).
• Experience in incident investigation techniques (e.g. 5-WHY, Fishbone, FMEA).

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of relevant legislation and ISO standards (9001, 14001 and 45001).
• Incident investigation techniques such as 5-WHY, Fishbone and FMEA.
