Warehouse & Logistics Manager - MV/LV Switchgear

About the role

ABB is looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Manager for its Electrification business in South Africa, reporting to the Local Division Manager. The role covers planning, directing and monitoring all warehouse activities, including receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of products, systems and services to customers. It is an onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage warehouse operations and propose and manage the annual warehouse budget.
• Operate within the approved budget and manage staff activities to optimise resource use, taking corrective action on cost issues.
• Improve warehouse operations using lean practices.
• Plan and optimise warehouse utilisation and inventory.
• Monitor storage, delivery and dispatch of orders and keep stock control systems up to date.

Required profile

• 10-15 years of experience in MV & LV switchgear factory production and equipment service (optional: experience with Reyrolle Switchgear).
• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in the mining, oil & gas, industry and utilities markets.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• Current South African driving licence.
