Quality Coordinator – Distribution Centre

About the role

Nestlé is seeking a proactive Quality Coordinator to lead quality management activities at its Belville Distribution Centre in Cape Town. You will ensure that all products and processes meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Management Representative for Quality, overseeing ISO 9001:2025 implementation across the Distribution Centre and third‑party agents.
• Develop and maintain Good Manufacturing Practice visual standards and an Integrated Pest Management programme.
• Design and execute an integrated audit programme covering salvage sales, donations, redistribution, animal feed, and external storage facilities.
• Conduct annual distributor audits, evaluate trial shipments, and perform downstream traceability exercises.
• Participate in mock recall exercises, real recalls, and product withdrawals, providing samples to factories as required.
• Collaborate with Technical & Production teams to manage non‑conformities, ageing stock, and disposal of non‑conforming goods, including infant formula.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quality, Food Safety Management, Chemistry, Microbiology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of comprehensive experience in a factory or distribution centre with a focus on Quality Assurance.
