About the role
Are you passionate about advocating for and supporting the transgender community? We are seeking a dedicated Program Officer to join our team at the Africa Trans Network. In this role you will coordinate and implement programs and services that directly benefit transgender individuals across Africa.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, strategize, and execute innovative programs aligned with the organization’s mission.
- Lead program execution, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and achievement of outcomes.
- Build partnerships with community members, stakeholders, and partners to optimize program impact.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, track performance indicators, and recommend improvements.
- Prepare and deliver reports on program outcomes, activities, and budgeting to leadership and funders.
- Engage with target communities to raise awareness, gather input, and ensure programs meet their needs.
Required profile
- Understanding of and sensitivity to issues facing the transgender community.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse groups and individuals.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice.
