Production Manager – Cold Storage (Stikland)

About the role

We are looking for a Production Manager to lead our cold‑storage manufacturing site in Stikland, Cape Town. The role is responsible for ensuring daily production of high‑quality products while maintaining strict safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production to meet quality and quantity targets.
• Monitor product packaging and enforce recipe compliance.
• Control waste and ensure efficient stock rotation using FIFO principles.
• Maintain accurate stock levels, conduct physical counts and investigate variances.
• Ensure the production area and machinery are kept clean and safe.
• Lead the production department and report on quality, operations and industrial relations matters.
• Support internal and external audits and comply with HACCP and occupational health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Experience managing a manufacturing or cold‑storage production line.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and audit processes.
• Ability to analyse stock data and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
