Procurement Specialist – Operations Support

About the role

Ngodwana Energy is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support the General Manager of Operations. The role focuses on day‑to‑day purchasing, cost‑effective sourcing and continuous improvement of procurement processes and IT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies and ISO standards, communicating regulatory updates to contractors.
• Support strategic objectives, gather user requirements and act as SAP Super User for the procurement system.
• Oversee vendor performance, manage the full contract lifecycle and develop a centralized Contract Management System.
• Maintain and improve Vendor and Material Master Data.
• Implement tactical sourcing strategies, lead teams, mitigate supply‑chain risks and pursue standardisation opportunities.
• Produce complex analyses, introduce new reporting methodologies, flag risks and prepare management reports.
• Drive Enterprise and Supplier Development initiatives and manage the bid process for related projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commercial, engineering, legal or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of procurement experience in engineering & construction, manufacturing or heavy‑industry environments.

Required skills

• SAP (procurement module) – Super User level.
