Material Planner

About the role

The Material Planner will manage the end‑to‑end raw material planning process, aligning material availability with production schedules and operational efficiency. You will analyse daily production plans, develop short‑ and medium‑term material forecasts, and support long‑term strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify and mitigate material shortages to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor and optimise inventory levels, managing slow‑moving and obsolete items.
• Coordinate material schedules with suppliers and expedite deliveries according to SAP recommendations.
• Maintain SAP data integrity and ensure accurate system parameters.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost‑optimisation projects for material flow.
• Assess short‑ to medium‑term supply‑chain risks and implement preventive actions.
• Manage working capital by overseeing inventory against target levels.
• Prepare shortage and surplus reports and maintain appropriate safety stock.

Required profile

• Solid experience in a supply‑chain role, preferably within FMCG or food industry.
• Hands‑on experience with material planning, run‑in/run‑out management.
• Degree in Industrial, Supply Chain, Business, or Accounting.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder‑influence abilities.
• Experience delivering continuous‑improvement projects in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, fast‑paced setting.
