Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Management Accountant to lead our full management accounts function. The role combines financial reporting, cash management, tax compliance and product costing within a production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain management accounts, flash results, cash flow statements, budgets and forecasts.
• Execute cash‑book to trial balance, VAT returns, PAYE returns and product costing.
• Oversee weekly payroll management and produce regular financial analysis reports.
• Supervise, mentor and manage the Bookkeeper, ensuring adherence to company policies and corporate governance.
• Perform GL control account reconciliations and support the Group Finance Executive with corporate duties.
• Liaise with SARS, IDC, suppliers and finance teams across the group for payment approvals and ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Matric qualification and a relevant Accounting Diploma (BCom & Articles).
• 4‑5 years of experience managing a full set of accounts in a production setting.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• High integrity, trustworthiness and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint.
