Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer will lead a team responsible for the reliable operation of plant machinery at Voermol Feeds. This role combines hands‑on technical problem solving with strategic planning to maximise organisational benefit.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team to identify and implement effective technical solutions.
• Prioritise maintenance activities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and apply engineering standards and conduct technical audits.
• Provide engineering expertise to ensure optimal performance of plant equipment.
• Perform root‑cause failure analyses and recommend preventative measures.
• Participate in projects from concept through to commissioning.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification plus a BSc in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or B‑Tech.
• At least three years’ experience in mechanical engineering maintenance at a supervisory level.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a positive, self‑motivated attitude.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Honest, reliable, assertive and committed to continuous improvement.
