About the role

iMas Insurance Brokers is offering a 12‑month Long‑Term Insurance (Life) Learnership Programme for individuals who want to start a career in the insurance sector. The programme combines practical experience with structured theoretical training and on‑the‑job coaching.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct basic research and apply literacy and numeracy skills in insurance risk assessment.
• Manage personal finances and develop an understanding of financial risk.
• Apply legislative, ethical and compliance knowledge within the insurance environment.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification with Mathematics and/or Accounting.
• Currently unemployed and not enrolled in any other study, learnership, internship or YES Programme.
• Available to start the learnership immediately.
• Willing to commit to a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

What we offer

• Practical experience in sales and/or administration within long‑term insurance.
• Structured theoretical training combined with on‑the‑job coaching and mentoring.
• A monthly allowance of R6,000 for the duration of the 12‑month contract.
• Achievement of an NQF Level 4 insurance qualification upon successful completion.
