Factory Finance Business Partner

About the role

Mars is hiring a Factory Finance Business Partner in Cape Town, South Africa. As a trusted partner to the Site/Manufacturing Management team, you provide financial leadership aimed at operational excellence and cost efficiency, define and deliver financial objectives, give insights on operating results and clarify key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the key Finance Business Partner to the Plant Manager, giving financial advice so that operational and strategic decisions are sound.
• Partner with the manufacturing team to drive performance, meet financial commitments and champion continuous improvement.
• Analyse trends to identify business issues and opportunities, and recommend future actions.
• Provide inputs for the operating plan, revised forecasts and strategic planning cycles for the manufacturing scope.
• Track action plans for key initiatives and address root causes to drive sustainable improvements.
• Share best practices and contribute to a high-performing team as part of the Global VCO Finance Team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally with a background in manufacturing or supply chain business partnering.
• Demonstrated ability to turn financial data into insights and communicate them clearly to the business.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to manage conflict, deal with ambiguity and drive for results.

Required skills

• Strong technical understanding of cost and management accounting, capital project evaluation and analytical techniques.
• Working knowledge of supply processes such as demand planning, S&OP and inventory flow.
