Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Our client, a growing fruit export and marketing company, is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to manage the end‑to‑end movement of fresh produce. The role is based in Stellenbosch and involves coordinating shipments, cold‑store logistics and compliance with international export requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute vessel bookings, freight forwarding and export documentation for fruit shipments.
• Manage stock levels, reconciliation, forecasting and load planning between cold stores and other facilities.
• Coordinate with packhouses, transport providers, freight forwarders, shipping lines and internal stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor container tracking, ETD/ETA, stack dates and vessel schedules, addressing any disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with destination market standards, quality inspections, labeling and import permits.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of logistics coordination experience in fruit export, fresh produce or FMCG logistics.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping, freight forwarding and export processes.
• Proven ability to handle stock management, forecasting and load planning.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and a clear criminal and credit record.
