Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator will support a fashion industry client in Midrand by managing import processes, supplier interactions, and freight forwarding activities. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders for imports and ensure timely production and shipment.
• Liaise with suppliers to coordinate packing, labeling, and shipping requirements.
• Onboard and verify new suppliers, checking shipping documents for accuracy.
• Approve bookings with freight forwarders and monitor clearance and delivery timelines.
• Report and submit claims for shortages or damages, and provide weekly status updates.
• Arrange courier shipments as needed and perform other general logistics duties.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience in imports/international trade and related documentation processes.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high accuracy.

Required skills

• SAP Business One.
• Microsoft Excel and general MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding and shipping documentation.
