About the role
Mozambik Wholesale CPT is hiring a Kitchen Assistant for its Bellville South, Mega Park site. The role covers food preparation, packaging and order support, with Monday to Friday hours of 07:00 to 16:00 and Saturday 08:00 to 12:00; during peak seasons you may be asked to work later to meet production deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and manufacture sauces according to approved recipes.
- Follow the approved production schedule.
- Accurately measure, mix, cook and package products.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with stock takes and packing stock into freezers.
- Assist with picking and loading orders.
Required profile
- South African citizen who has completed Grade 12 (Matric).
- Able to follow recipes accurately and to communicate in English.
- Physically fit and strong, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work well in a team and with no criminal record.
- Able to commute to Bellville South, Mega Park.
- Preference will be given to male candidates due to the physical nature of the role.
