Junior Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Junior Restaurant Manager will support daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery, effective staff scheduling, and high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. This position is ideal for someone with strong organisational abilities and a passion for the hospitality sector.

Key responsibilities

• Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash handling.
• Oversee inventory reporting and maintain supply levels.
• Assist in coordinating bookings with General Managers and clients.
• Support high‑quality client service and operational standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and service‑ready restaurant environment.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager and Director to ensure seamless day‑to‑day operations.
• Manage on‑the‑day staff, schedule coverage, and enforce restaurant regulations.
• Generate operational reports and identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and time‑management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in events or hospitality.
• Relevant qualification in events management, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Xero accounting software.
• Familiarity with iOS systems.
