Junior Manager – Africa Talent (Audit)

About the role

Deloitte Africa Talent is seeking a Junior Manager to support complex audit engagements for Dutch‑based clients while developing talent across Sub‑Saharan Africa. The role combines audit delivery, skill‑development leadership and exposure to ESG and sustainability topics.

Key responsibilities

• Create and own the learning roadmap for Africa Talent professionals.
• Ensure skill development aligns with client needs.
• Develop and execute audit strategies in line with Deloitte global standards.
• Identify risks and provide practical recommendations to clients.
• Audit complex items in financial statements and review compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements.
• Support Netherlands engagements with high‑quality, cost‑effective audit delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of excellence.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Completed Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting or audit (4 years preferred).
• Fluent English (spoken and written); Afrikaans or Dutch is advantageous.
• Experience in audit delivery for international engagements, preferably in a Big 4 environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Proficiency with audit technology and automation/AI tools.
• Experience in ESG and sustainability audit topics.
