Junior Bookkeeper

About the role

Our client, a respected player in the logistics and courier sector, is looking for a Junior Bookkeeper to ensure accurate financial records and support smooth financial operations. This entry‑level role offers exposure to a variety of bookkeeping tasks within a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer, supplier, subcontractor, fuel and line‑haul invoices with precision.
• Manage petty‑cash transactions and maintain supporting documentation.
• Administer debtor and creditor accounts, including reconciliations.
• Validate line‑haul payout claims for compliance.
• Compile kiosk performance sheets and branch income statements.
• Submit turnover figures to property managing agents.
• Support month‑end reporting, audit preparation and financial verification.
• Resolve financial queries promptly and ensure adherence to company procedures.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with debtor and creditor responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good time‑management skills and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
