HVAC Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for a motivated HVAC Team Leader to join a project‑based team in Potchefstroom. You will lead a group of HVAC technicians, ensuring that all installation, service and maintenance tasks are completed safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of HVAC technicians on site.
• Allocate work, monitor progress and ensure tasks meet project timelines.
• Assist with installation, servicing and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems when required.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and provide technical guidance.
• Monitor health and safety compliance and report issues to the Site Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate job cards and project documentation.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in the HVAC industry.
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team of technicians.
• Familiarity with commercial HVAC installations and maintenance.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of VRV and VRF systems.
• Experience with brazing and commercial chillers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Hands‑on skills in HVAC installation and maintenance.
