About the role
Shimansky, a prestigious luxury jewellery brand, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead its HR function. The role will oversee recruitment, training, policy creation, payroll, and employee relations to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies, job advertisements, and selection tools.
- Plan and monitor KPIs, training programmes, and staff development initiatives.
- Create, update, and enforce HR policies, ensuring alignment with legal regulations.
- Manage payroll processes, staff overpayments, and leave administration.
- Handle industrial relations, grievance, disciplinary procedures, and CCMA cases.
- Partner with department heads to optimise human capital management.
- Provide HR support during investigations, hearings, and performance coaching.
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) and a relevant tertiary HR qualification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management.
- 5–8 years of HR generalist experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in retail or service environments.
- Strong professionalism, analytical ability, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
