Human Resource Recruitment Internship

About the role

OUTsurance’s Human Capital department is looking for a Recruitment Intern to support the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires. This is a structured 12‑month fixed‑term internship that provides a stipend and hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Post job advertisements on external job boards and internal platforms.
• Source potential candidates through online channels such as LinkedIn.
• Screen CVs and shortlist applicants against job requirements.
• Conduct initial screening calls with candidates.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates, providing application updates.
• Update recruitment trackers and databases.
• Prepare interview packs and assist with recruitment documentation.
• Support onboarding processes for new hires.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for people.
• Computer literate with good administrative ability.
• Highly organised, self‑disciplined and self‑motivated.
• Deadline‑driven with a results‑oriented mindset.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to take ownership and responsibility.
• Resilient under pressure and stress tolerant.
• Matric or equivalent; completed a Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations or related field.
