HSE Trainee/Intern – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

The HSE Trainee/Intern will support the site’s health, safety and environment (HSE) function, helping to ensure compliance with legislation and the Group’s HSE policies. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on experience in a production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal HSE measurements, inspections and audits to analyse risks and propose improvements.
• Develop and present an annual HSE action plan to site management.
• Coach plant management on HSE practices and support the deployment of standards.
• Participate in the company’s HSE network and ensure standards are applied across the organization.
• Monitor legal compliance and manage relationships with local authorities and regulators.
• Track and report HSE indicators such as FR0t and environmental data.
• Organise and lead HSE audits, trainings and accident/incident investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Health, Safety & Environment or a related field.
• Ideally 1 year of experience in a production environment.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of quality systems and HSE principles.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Familiarity with HSE tools and methods: AMDEC, 5‑why methodology, job instruction, audits, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
