HR Manager

About the role

The International Manufacturer is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead its Human Resources function. You will apply strategic planning, organising, leading and controlling principles to ensure HR practices support the company’s operational and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop workforce plans aligned with business objectives and conduct skills‑gap analyses.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and workforce deployment.
• Design and maintain learning and development programmes, including succession planning.
• Oversee employee and industrial relations, handling grievances, disciplinary actions and liaison with statutory bodies such as the CCMA.
• Conduct remuneration benchmarking, recommend salary adjustments and administer employee benefits.
• Maintain HR information systems, ensure data integrity and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate Corporate Social Investment initiatives and report on their impact.
• Produce accurate HR analytics and reports to support strategic decision‑making.
• Lead, mentor and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7 minimum) in Human Resource Management or related field.
• Proven experience in HR management covering recruitment, learning & development, employee relations and compensation.
• Strong understanding of South African labour legislation and CCMA processes.
• Ability to manage budgets, HR metrics and stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR best practices and employment equity planning.
• Experience with HR information systems and data analytics.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
