Head of Operations and Maintenance (Renewables)

About the role

The Head of Operations and Maintenance (Renewables) will lead the O&M function for TTE REN's South African portfolio, ensuring high availability, production, and asset longevity while complying with safety and contractual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a local O&M strategy aligned with TTE’s global approach.
• Organise and lead the O&M team, setting priorities and recruiting as needed.
• Implement and continuously improve governance, processes, and reporting frameworks.
• Prepare and manage the department budget.
• Ensure compliance with TTE policies, contractual obligations, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor, optimise, and improve plant performance and availability.
• Achieve KPI targets for production, availability, and HSE metrics.
• Provide regular reporting to senior management, headquarters, and project boards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; additional qualification in Law or Commerce is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of O&M experience in the global energy sector, covering renewables or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex operational environments.
