FP&A Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an FP&A Analyst to join a global fintech company supporting the property sector. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will develop financial models, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide insights to drive strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Create and refine financial models for forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning.
• Deliver high‑quality outputs and models within specified deadlines.
• Back‑test budgets and forecasts against actuals and explain variances.
• Review financial models, spreadsheets, budgets and reports, translating quantitative data into clear findings.
• Collaborate with Regional Financial Officers to produce accurate budgets and forecasts.
• Generate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports with performance insights.
• Monitor budget performance, identify risks and opportunities, and explain deviations.
• Develop dashboards and visualisations to present complex financial data.
• Support strategic initiatives such as investments, cost‑saving projects and growth strategies.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses for business opportunities and operational challenges.
• Clean and prepare data using Excel and modelling tools, and identify automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or Accounting.
• Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA(SA), CFA, FMVA).
• 2+ years of experience in planning, financial modelling or valuations.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel, including three‑statement model building.
• Financial modelling expertise.
• Data cleaning and preparation using Excel.
• Knowledge of SQL (BQ SQL) or other coding languages is desirable.
