Fleet Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, hands‑on Fleet Manager to oversee a fleet of approximately 70 company vehicles in Johannesburg. The role combines strong mechanical knowledge with excellent reporting and administrative abilities to keep the fleet compliant, cost‑effective, and operational.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a fleet of ~70 vehicles, ensuring licences, insurance and documentation are up to date.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and basic under‑bonnet checks to identify potential mechanical issues.
• Coordinate servicing, maintenance and repairs with service providers, dealerships and workshops.
• Monitor preventative maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion.
• Analyse fuel, maintenance and insurance costs and produce accurate Excel reports for management.
• Maintain comprehensive fleet records and ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a corporate vehicle fleet.
• Strong mechanical understanding with the ability to spot potential vehicle issues.
• Excellent knowledge of vehicle licensing, insurance administration and maintenance schedules.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data compilation and analysis.
