Financial Processing Clerk / Bookkeeper

About the role

FS Personnel Recruitment Services is recruiting a Financial Processing Clerk / Bookkeeper in Bloemfontein. The role covers day-to-day VAT and SARS administration, supported by cloud accounting software, with a Monday to Friday schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily bank statements and invoices for VAT purposes using Xero and Sage, up to trial balance.
• Handle telephone calls and enquiries with SARS.
• Update registered representatives for companies and trusts with SARS, and update registered details on SARS eFiling.
• Handle SARS administrative matters relating to NOOs and NOAs.
• Assist with monthly payroll processing.
• Submit VAT201 and EMP201 returns.

Required profile

• Experience working with SARS enquiries.
• Fluent in Afrikaans (verbal and written) - non-negotiable.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport - non-negotiable.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Hubdoc or Dext.
• Advanced Excel skills.

What we offer

• Salary of R13 000 to R20 000 ctc per month, depending on experience.
• Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00, Friday 08:00 to 13:00.
