Risk Officer (Enterprise Risk Management)

About the role

The Central University of Technology, Free State is looking for a Risk Officer (P10) within its Governance, Risk and Compliance unit at the Bloemfontein campus. The post provides efficient support and assistance in enterprise risk management across the institution. It is a permanent appointment in the Support Services category.

Key responsibilities

• Support enterprise risk management activities
• Contribute to strengthening the control environment
• Liaise and communicate with stakeholders
• Compile and submit reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or a three-year qualification (NQF 7) in risk management
• Three years of experience in risk management
• Preferred: postgraduate qualification in Risk Management (NQF 8)
• Preferred: experience in higher education
• Preferred: membership of the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA)
• Preferred: five years of experience in risk management

The minimum total cost to company salary scale is R 571 987 per year; the university applies an internal parity model so the preferred candidate may expect an offer in line with their qualifications and years of similar experience. Applications close on 30 October 2026.
