About the role
The Financial Manager oversees full accounting, financial planning, internal controls, and statutory compliance while supporting senior management with commercial strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, balance sheets, income statements, and board reports.
- Oversee annual budgets, cash flow projections, and financial planning in partnership with the Dealer Principal.
- Analyze departmental gross profit margins, floorplan interest, vehicle stock ageing, factory rebates, and bonus incentives.
- Maintain strict financial controls, manage inventory/debtor/creditor reconciliations, and coordinate internal/external audits.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, including SARS tax returns, VAT, provisional tax, payroll taxes, and B‑BBEE reporting.
- Manage, train, and mentor the finance and administration team, including bookkeepers, debtors, and creditors.
