About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a BCom degree to join our team in Durban. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month‑end and year‑end processes.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting entries
- Perform monthly reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accurate allocation of transactions
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end financial processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies and procedures
Required profile
- BCom degree in Accounting
- Minimum of three years' relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliations
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software
