Financial Manager – Automotive Dealership

About the role

The Financial Manager will lead the finance department of an automotive dealership, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance with sound financial practices and corporate governance. The role supports the Dealer Principal and Financial Director in achieving financial objectives, identifying risks, and delivering accurate, timely reports. Additionally, the manager assists the HR function with personnel and payroll matters at the dealership level.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the finance department and maintain effective internal control measures.
• Ensure compliance with financial practices and corporate governance standards.
• Support the Dealer Principal and Financial Director in meeting financial targets.
• Identify areas of risk and drive continuous improvement.
• Produce timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Assist Human Resources with personnel and payroll administration.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ accounting/financial management experience, with at least 2‑3 years in a leadership role.
• Relevant experience in the automotive industry.
• BCom degree with Accounting (NQF7+) or equivalent.
• Recognised Management/Leadership Diploma or Certificate (desired).
