About the role
The Beaufort West Municipality is seeking two Financial Interns for a two‑year fixed‑term contract. The role supports the Financial Services department in delivering accurate municipal accounting and reporting. Interns will gain practical experience in municipal finance while contributing to key financial processes.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in implementing municipal accounting practices and budget reforms.
- Support the development of statistical reports and financial policies.
- Capture financial data electronically and help monitor financial reports.
- Maintain filing of all financial records and documents.
Required profile
- B.Com degree or National Diploma with Accounting as a major, plus Grade 12.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
