Commercial Finance Accountant – Exports

About the role

The Commercial Finance Accountant will support the Premier Exports Sales team by delivering accurate pricing, margin and analytical insights. This role ensures financial data drives decisions that improve profitability, pricing strategy and customer success.

Key responsibilities

• Produce timely pricing, margin and ad‑hoc analytical reports for the Export Sales team.
• Set and maintain commercial parameters (base, cycle, promotional pricing) based on cost drivers and margin targets.
• Assist in budget preparation, volume and margin forecasting, and monitor selling & distribution cost categories.
• Maintain pricing structures and promotional activities in the ERP system to avoid margin leakage.
• Report monthly on margin impact of pricing claims and distributor claim‑backs.
• Analyse low‑margin products, customers and channels and recommend profitability improvements.
• Provide EXCO and management with accurate commercial performance insights.
• Review New Product Development feasibility for financial accuracy and commercial viability.
• Support ad‑hoc commercial projects, participate in finance forums and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of data analytics experience.
• 3‑5 years as a Management or Cost Accountant within the FMCG industry.
• 3‑5 years experience in FMCG sales & marketing finance.
• 3‑5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (essential).
