About the role

Our client, a leading retailer in the textile and homeware sector, is looking for a commercially driven Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to join their finance team. The role is strategic, supporting business growth, new investments and the management of a property portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Drive investment strategy and build financial models.
• Manage and optimise the company’s property portfolio.
• Oversee lease negotiations and commercial agreements.
• Provide strategic financial support to senior directors.
• Manage cash flow, treasury functions and funding structures.
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports.
• Oversee the accounting function and maintain robust financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and audit requirements.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification.
• Up to 2 years post‑articles experience.
• Experience in investments, asset management or property portfolio management is advantageous.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management abilities.
