CargoWise Implementation Specialist

About the role

This is a Cape Town‑based, onsite position leading the transition from paper‑based processes to a fully digital environment using CargoWise One and CargoWise Neo. The specialist will combine technical expertise with a deep understanding of logistics workflows to configure, customize, and integrate the platform across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end implementation of CargoWise One and CargoWise Neo across all business units.
• Configure and customize modules such as forwarding, customs, warehousing, accounting, and transport.
• Map existing paper‑based workflows and redesign them into digital processes.
• Manage data migration from legacy systems into CargoWise.
• Integrate CargoWise with external systems via EDI and API.
• Implement automation and AI tools to streamline operations.
• Provide training and support to staff for system adoption.
• Monitor system performance and continuously optimise workflows.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data security standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Preferably a CargoWise Certified Professional or Specialist.
• Preferably proven experience in CargoWise One and Neo implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of logistics, freight forwarding and supply‑chain processes.
• Proficiency in system integration, automation and data migration.
• Knowledge of AI tools and their application in business process automation.
