Junior MS365 Migrations Engineer

About the role

Our client, a dynamic IT company located in Cape Town CBD, is seeking a motivated Junior MS365 Migrations Engineer. The role supports Microsoft 365 administration, user assistance and migration projects for both internal teams and external clients, while working alongside experienced engineers and project leads.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration tasks such as user creation, licensing, password resets, MFA setup and routine service‑health checks.
• Prepare migration data, support Exchange Online mailbox migrations and perform pre‑ and post‑migration validation, while helping users with Outlook, OneDrive and file‑access issues.
• Create and update Microsoft Teams structures, add members and owners, and resolve access problems under guidance.
• Execute assigned migration and support tasks using project plans, maintain documentation, communicate with users/clients and escalate complex issues.

Required profile

• Any IT‑related qualification is beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 and general computer troubleshooting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn migration processes.
• Ability to work from the company office and travel to client sites when required.
• Optional but advantageous: MS‑900 certification, self‑study labs, exposure to Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams or Entra ID, and prior help‑desk or internship experience.
